California Wedding in their New Kentucky Home · Daphne & Conner

When Daphne & Conner first contacted me about having their wedding at Hawks Nest, they were still living in California and actually booked our venue over a FaceTime call. I was so honored that they trusted us with their wedding and loved the venue from our iPhones, but anxiously awaited the day where they could come in-person once they made the big move to Kentucky. Thankfully they loved it here, and as we talked more about their style and vision I knew this was going to be a spectacular wedding.

Everything looked gorgeous, vendors did an excellent job partnering to create the best experience possible for this sweet couple, and their guests had a fantastic time. I really loved their ceremony where they honored Daphne’s Jewish roots by getting married under a traditional Huppa and Conner got to smash the glass at the end of the ceremony.

There’s a few things I want to highlight before I show you all the pictures…

This outdoor bar was a hit 🥂 Wandering Spirits provides really incredible furniture with their rental and bartending services, which elevated the bar experience so much.
A new business was born out of this wedding! A friend of the Johnson’s offered to help with decorations for their day and decided after this that it was time to take their prior event experience and expertise and start a business. Wildflower & Grace Events is a great option for you if you’re looking for someone to bring your event design to life.
These DJs were on top of it. They made the reception so fun with their creative activities and even joining the guests out on the dance floor to show off some moves.
